So, you’re looking for military discounts at Universal Orlando - you’ve come to the right place!
I want to start off by saying that different options will work for different people, depending on your preferences for your trip.
What I mean by that - for example, the Military Freedom Pass is often a great deal, starting at about $220/year at the time of this writing (September, 2026). However, it works on a calendar year, so in 2026 it will expire 12/18/2026. If you’re planning a trip late in the year, you might not actually get a full “year” of value out of it in terms of return trips.
The second thing worth noting about the Military Freedom Pass is that it’s only available in a 2 to 3 park pass right now, meaning that Epic Universe is explicitly excluded. You can purchase an “add-on” one day ticket to Epic Universe, but if you want to spend multiple days at Epic Universe, a park to park multi-day ticket may end up working out better for you.
Additionally, the Military Freedom Pass can only be purchased at Authorized Military Ticket & Travel offices.
You can also currently purchase Park to Park tickets (or one park per day tickets as well) at your Military Tickets & Travel office.
When I called my local Military Tickets & Travel office, I asked them about Vacation Packages, and they let me know that they’re not considered “full-service” travel agents, and that I could either call Universal directly or try americanforcestravel.com I did not find the americanforcestravel to have good pricing options for the resort hotels at all. In fact, they were more expensive than what Universal offers directly at their booking phone number.
Universal Resort Hotels
Cabana Bay Beach Resort offered the most competitive military discount at 40%. Other resort hotels were indicated to be about 20-30% discounts. All the discounts for their hotels are subject to availability and need to be booked a certain way ahead of time. Do NOT try and book at a regular rate and expect them to discount it at the desk when you check in, that’s not how it works.
Universal Orlando offers a Military Create-Your-Own-Vacation Package, which likely offers competitive pricing as well. While the folks at the Universal phone number I called were very friendly and helpful, I still think booking with your friendly local travel advisor/agent (hi!) could work out to your advantage. I know for me, when I helped some active duty friends book a trip, I double checked their MWR Ticket Office prices with what was being offered by Universal directly. I found options that aligned with their preferences, confirmed cancellation policies and stayed available in the event of any travel delays or issues. One member of the group really wanted the ability to visit Epic Universe every day, and that’s where I was able to identify that a Park-to-Park multi-day ticket was more aligned with that than the annual pass + paying for the extra Epic Universe days.
