Meow Wolf describes itself as an immersive art adventure (more info here: https://meowwolf.com/about) which I feel like is a pretty accurate description.
I don’t want to overshare, because I think there’s a type of beauty in experiencing it without expectations and just following your own interests and curiosity.
Where are they located?
Santa Fe, NM: The House of Eternal Return
Denver, CO: Convergence Station
Las Vegas, NV: Omega Mart
Grapevine, TX: The Real Unreal
Houston, TX: Radio Tave
From my understanding, two more are in the works at the time of this writing, one in Los Angeles, the other in New York City.
So far, I’ve only been able to visit Convergence Station (twice), Omega Mart (4 times), and The Real Unreal (once).
How did I hear about it?
I had some friends go to one a few months prior, and the way they described Meow Wolf made me curious.
The very first one I visited was Convergence Station in Denver. I was flying out to the East Coast and was able to get a much cheaper flight by booking one with an overnight layover in Denver, so I thought, why not?
I think it’s worth noting that I went on a weeknight, and I accidentally went on an Adulti-Verse night which I think made things a lot less busy.
So, I obtained an adult beverage and started exploring.
It reminded me of a multi-dimensional playground for adults (although I’m sure children would have fun too!) Generally speaking, as adults we typically aren’t encouraged to push buttons just because they look pushable and we’re curious about what they do, or wander into random rooms, try doors, sit and enjoy the music or art around us.
It’s also layered - you can go in and just walk around and enjoy what you’re seeing, hearing, and experiencing. You can also engage in what I would best describe as a type of scavenger hunt or storyline puzzle, which I have not completed but I’m told can take quite a bit of time! This also makes it appealing to visit a location multiple times, as you may get something different out of it each time.
They do offer passes called “Annual Portal Passes”– either to an individual location or their Supremium Pass, which grants you access to all locations for one year. Please view the image below, which is accurate as of posting on 4/24/2026.
